The Microsoft Azure certifications are in high demand. And in October 2019, Microsoft released its new role-based certificate – Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. To obtain this credential, the students need to take two exams: AZ-300 and AZ-301. Passing the AZ-300 test is a primary step for becoming an Azure solutions architect. Those individuals who are the experts in Azure administration, Azure development, and DevOps are the perfect candidates for this certification. You must have at least one of the three skill sets named above to be eligible for the exam.
If you want to pass Microsoft AZ-300 on the first try, make sure that you are prepared for the following 5 domains. The percentage after each topic indicates how many questions you can expect:
- Configuring & Deploying Infrastructure (40-45%);
- Implementing Workloads & Security (25-30%);
- Creating & Deploying Apps (5-10%);
- Securing Data & Implementing Authentication (5-10%);
- Developing for Cloud (20-25%).
The applicants can expect to have 40-60 questions in their AZ-300 exam that they have to answer in 150 minutes. The types of questions that can be asked in the test may include review screen, case studies, best answer, active screen, short answer, mark review, build list, multiple choice, and drag & drop. You are free to attempt all the questions as there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The passing score for this certification exam is 700, and you can register for it on the Microsoft corresponding page. You can take the test in multiple languages, including English, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Korean. The fee is $165 if you live in the United States, but if you are not a resident of this country, then the price may vary according to your geographic location.
